Dam Night Run 5k
This is Jared, Ben, and myself after the really hot and humid 5k Saturday night. The local lake fire and rescue boat sprayed contestants off afterwards and the watermelon was wonderful. I was a little disappointed with my performance coming off a sub 20 min 5k at the Firecracker on the 4th of July. But due to 1. the really big hills 2. my shoe coming untied at mile 1.5 3. the really hot weather, I will accept the 20:56. I am looking to improve my times to reach around 18 by the end of the year. This coming weekend we are travelling to Batesville for a 4 miler which will be my first at this distance. Goal is to finish in under 30 min. More to come……
